Biblical Laws
Any society or group of people cannot live peaceably without laws and rules that govern our behavior. If there were no laws the world we live in would be a much different and terrifying place to be.However, before we can follow God's laws it is imperative that we know what they are. In the coming weeks we will be studying various biblical laws set out for us by God. Many people (even Christians) seem to think that The Ten Commandments are the only laws we need to follow. Biblical laws are meant to keep us healthy and safe. Scientific studies show a direct correlation between many biblical laws that were established to keep us healthy with actual health benefits. For example, Biblical law tells us that some meats are unclean. Take pork for example, the bible tells us that after we eat it we will be unclean for 7 days while scientific studies show that it takes exactly 7 days for our bodies to digest pork. Are we to judge those of us who eat meat, are vegans, or believe that some meats should not be eaten because they are unclean? The answer is no. Each person is accountable only to God. If we feel something is wrong then we should not do it but we are not to judge others who may still do it. Biblical laws are meant to and can help us improve our health, our thoughts, our emotional well being, and our relationships with other's.
In the following weeks we will be addressing all of the Biblical laws set out in the Holy Bible by God. If you would like to keep up with our bible studies on this topic please go to:
or follow this blog.
This bible study will present all of the biblical laws and how they affect us in today's world. Since most of us recognize The Ten Commandments as biblical laws we will start off our first study with The Ten Commandments.
Sincerely,
